Youth

For years 7-12
Fridays + Sundays

Youth is about creating a space where young people can enjoy a variety of fun and engaging activities, building friendships that offer support and encouragement, and growing in their understanding and faith in Jesus. It’s a time for young people to explore who they are and who God is, and to ask big questions in a safe environment.

Fridays

Youth meet at the Lismore High School hall in East Lismore, 7-9pm each Friday during school terms.

Our Youth program aims to clearly present Jesus to teenagers in a way that is fun and culturally relevant. Youth is for anyone who is high-school-aged. A typical night at youth involves hanging out and fun stuff that prepares us to hear from God’s word the Bible (a short bible talk and study). Most weeks the juniors (years 7-10) and the seniors (years 11-12) split at about half time.

In Term 4, Year 6’s are welcome to join youth every week!

Sundays

79C - FOR YEARS 7-9
This program is held roughly every second Sunday during school term to help grow these youth as followers of Jesus. Partly, this looks like transitioning these youth into our Sunday gatherings as they have potentially grown up participating in our kids program, and so sitting in the main Sunday gathering is a huge change. 79C seeks to explore the Bible together including many topics of discussion. Included in our time together are some games, relational time, spending time in the Bible with a variety of peers and a morning tea to conclude our time together.

We want everyone to be safe!

The Presbyterian Church of Australia in NSW has committed to the Breaking the Silence policy, procedures and Code of Conduct. We want everyone to be safe. All our leaders (including program leaders and helpers) and staff hold current Breaking the Silence (Safe Church) training and Working With Children Checks.
