Our culture encourages us to maximise our time, effort and resources for the goal of comfort. Sadly, this ideal has crept into our relationship with God, whereby we seek to become “comfortable Christians”. God’s Word reminds us not to let comfort become our god (an idol) but instead to pursue faithfulness to Christ, even if it costs us our lives.
