Psalm 1 delineates two paths. One path is the way of the blessed, righteous man. The other is the path of the wicked. Following either path on our own will turn us to either false confidence or despair – both of which fall in the judgement. True blessedness is the by-product of knowing the blessed man and finding ourselves planted in him.
