Thanks Pete for the reminder of idols in our lives for me I had a hidden one, today it was revealed to me for so long I’ve wanted to have a honeymoon with Rachael but never have been able to do, this has caused me frustration seeing others go on their honeymoons and feeling like I’ve missed out on something special but what a fool I am.
God has given me a beautiful wife who loves me even when i am thick as two bricks, she encourages me to lead our family in God’s way but there is even a more amazing thing that is in my life that is God himself showing me mercy and grace everyday.
I love what Augustine said’ the heart is restless until it finds its rest in you God’ thanks Holy Spirit showing me.

We spend more than 3 hrs a day watching T.V.
We spend 1/2 hr a day studying the Bible.
No wonder idols have such a foot hold in our lives.
