God’s covenant (old & new) requires obedience from his people if they are to enjoy the blessing of belonging to him. In the new covenant, God meets this requirement of obedience for us through Jesus and offers us his obedience. We now live under a covenant of grace in which obedience is the overflow of gratitude and love for the salvation God has achieved.
