The incarnation reveals HOW Jesus meets our need – by being both LIKE us and UNLIKE us. By being like us in his humanity he can represent us to God as our champion and sin-bearing substitute. By being unlike us in his divinity he can represent God to us as our gracious Heavenly Father.
