1 Kings 21-22
Wow! It wouldn’t have been easy being a prophet of the LORD in those days, would it?! 400 false prophets saying one thing and you’re always the one spoiling the party! Y’know I reckon we often find it hard to tell each other truth, to point each other to what the Bible really says about what it means to live with Jesus as Lord. We get confused about what really matters and prefer not to offend each other even if it means being unfaithful to God.
Folks, let me encourage you to know the truth from God’s word, seek to live it our in your own life and be willing to humbly share it with each other – even when you don’t expect to get a positive response. It’s always been hard being one of God’s messengers but let’s echo the words of Michaiah who said
1 Kings 22:14 “As surely as the LORD lives, I can tell him only what the LORD tells me.”
