Asking Good Questions
NCCC Kids training event is on TOMORROW 16th May. This will be a great opportunity to gain some training and insight from Emma Collette (Youthworks) on how to engage deeper thinking from our kids by ASKING GOOD QUESTIONS. This training will be useful, not only for kids church leaders & SRE teachers but also for parents to freshen up family devotional times. The evening will be held at Park Ave from 7:30 to 9pm. The cost is $10 to help towards expenses.
Food for Thought Dinner
‘Why Bother With the Bible?’ is the topic of our next Food for Thought dinner on Tuesday evening May 21. This term’s dinner will be in a new venue – at the Goonellabah Tavern (aka The Hilltop), 747 Ballina Rd Goonellabah. We’ve also decided not to go with a set menu for the dinner this time which will mean greater choice, with main meals starting from $12! So if you’d like to see your friends reading the Bible (and who wouldn’t!), invite them along to hear why they should “Bother with the Bible”. Please RSVP by Monday 20th with the number of seats you’d like to book – just so that we can let the Tav know how many places to set.
Congregation Meeting
On Sunday 26th May, there will be a Congregation Meeting to make decisions on church property at 11:30am here in the auditorium.
