SCU O Week
Keep an eye out for new uni students this week as O Week is underway at SCU. EC (Evangelical Christians) are maintaining a high profile on campus this week with pancake breakfasts, aiming to connect with new students and help them to meet Jesus.
‘Bring a Friend Night’ at Youth
Round up ya friends and bring ’em along to Youth this Friday night 24th February, 7pm at Lismore High. Give them a chance to meet Jesus!
Annual General Meeting
Our AGM will be held this Sunday 26th February at 12pm at Lismore High. The 2016 Annual Report is available from the community table where you will also find nomination forms for the election of Committee of Management members for 2017.
Change to Term One Equip
We have decided to cancel our term 1 Equip on Feb 28 and instead to encourage all parents and anyone else interested to get along to the following event. Casino Presbyterian Church are have invited us to a Parenting Seminar to be held at Casino Christian School on Saturday 29th April at 7pm. John McClean, lecturer in Theology and Ethics at Christ College in Sydney, will be speaking on the nurture and discipline of children from a Christian perspective. Treasure Island Kids Church Event
Please give some thought to who you could invite to our Kid’s Church ‘invite a friend’ event: TREASURE ISLAND, on Sunday 5th March and give them a chance to meet Jesus. It will commence at Kids Church time followed by activities for everyone after church and includes a 12pm lunch provided for all families who come along.
BYO Bible 2017
Our big goal for 2017 is to make the Bible central to all our relationships. As one way of helping you to love your Bible, we encourage you to bring it along with you every Sunday.
500 Invitations
Throughout the year we’ll be doing all we can to equip & encourage one another to invite our friends, family & neighbours to meet Jesus. Our goal is to extend 500 invitations and pray that God would grow good fruit from our efforts.
Meet the Family
This term we’d love you to share in our Sunday Gatherings the story of how you met Jesus. Record a 2 minute audio file of how you met Jesus and how you grow as a follower of Jesus and email it to office@scpc.org.au.
