God always had a plan and has always been at work at building a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-linguistic and multi-billion strong Kingdom of redeemed people (Gen 22:17-18, Eph 3:6).
This Kingdom will last forever in what’s called the new creation. Here God will dwell with His redeemed people and all un-redeemed people will be banished from this universe under God’s judgement (Rev 21).
But how will He achieve building the Kingdom?
In Romans 10:12-15 it says:
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Part of God’s plan to build His Kingdom is by sending people out to preach the goodnews of Jesus to the many groups in this world. The Church didn’t stay in the Middle East and Eastern Europe (1st century) but they moved out and out until they brought and preached the goodnews to us in Australia.
Every Christian is to have beautiful feet and bring the good news to those around them and then move out from there.
If you belong to SCPC then you have beautiful feet because you bring the good news to those in Lismore and the surrounding areas. And we also have ‘sent’ out our Global Mission Partners (GMPs) to bring the good news to other peoples in places like South Australia, Taiwan and Eurasia.
This Sunday the kids will receive an activity booklet to help them pray for our GMPs to continue to have beautiful feet as well as inspire the kids to have beautiful feet too.
