Students in Year 6 are invited to check out Youth this Friday night 2nd September, 7pm at Lismore High.
Last Sunday’s Congregational Meeting got through a mountain of work, approving the Goonellabah Church Plant, endorsing Matt Crosthwaite as the Goonellabah Church Plant Pastor (part-time) and agreeing to put Sam Herd forward as a candidate for METRO in 2017/18.
For those who’ve recently joined us at SCPC, we’d like to welcome you with a newcomers lunch on Sunday 11th September from 12pm at the Playsted’s house, 16 Sommerville Ave, East Lismore.
Celebration Sunday 18th September
Celebration Sunday is on September 18 – a special day to praise our great God and celebrate the wonderful things he’s been doing in our church family throughout the year. Keep sending in your brightest and best Church Family photos to office@scpc.org.au to be shared on the day. Celebration Sunday starts at 9:30am and ends around 2:30pm, including games & lunch. There will be no PM gathering on Celebration Sunday.
Celebration Sunday ‘Gift Boxes’
At Celebration Sunday we’re keen to have creative contributions from the whole church family. This year, the idea is to wrap and decorate a box to express what church family means to you. We are providing gift tags to attach to your box to write your thoughts and add further expression. Contributions will be received between now and Celebration Sunday.
‘Who Will Be King?’ is our September/October holiday preaching series from the Old Testament . Stew Playsted, Matt Crosthwaite and Luke Thomas will be taking us on a whistle stop tour through 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 Kings.
