Holiday Kids Church Helpers Needed
With the school holidays just around the corner, we’re looking for parents (and other helpers) to put up their hand for Holiday Kids Church.
These holidays we’ll be teaching the kids from the letter of Titus – a great lead-in to the Term 3 series on “Family Life” from 1 Timothy.
We currently only have 40% of the Holiday Kids Church roster filled so if you haven’t already, please call or email Stew to organise a week that suits: 66213655; stewart@scpc.org.au
Question Time this Sunday
Given that it’s the last week of our “We Believe” talk series, we’ll have a question time after the Bible talk this Sunday. This will happen at both AM & PM gatherings. Questions can come from any week/topic in the series so have a look back through your notes or through your DNA booklet for anything that’s been bugging you or that you’d like to explore further.
If you’d like to lodge a question you can do it in one of three ways:
- post it here in the comments section
- text it to Pete’s mobile before or during question time
- raise your hand and ask it live during question time

A message from Linda:
Dear SCPC Friends, This Saturday evening, my re-commissioning service will be held in Casino. It was so great to come and spend time with you guys a few months back. I would love it if, as one of my sending churches, you would come and be a part of this special service. It is SATURDAY 25th June 5pm for a service and 6-8pm for a bring and share pot luck dinner.
Let me know if you are coming: linda.mckerrell@omfmail.com

Partnering with Parents: Youth
Safari 2016 is all about helping our youth to spot & stop the idols in their lives so they can be free to truly trust in Jesus. Join us at Partnering with Parents to get equipped to bring the message home for maximum impact. It will be straight after our morning gathering on 26th June, 11:15am in E block. Child care will be provided.
The first SCPC Origin game went to NSW! What will happen in the second? Make sure you turn up at 3pm on the LHS playing fields on Sunday 26th June for SCPC Origin 2.
Re question regarding the series.
In what ways do you think our joy could be expressed when we gather as a church family on Sundays and as a GC? How can we be better at being counter Australian culture of not expressing much joy outwardly?
A question from the Youth girls:
“Sometimes i feel like i dont have any joy, but i should. Is that normal?
