Just a quick follow-up to our first Equip night.
It was really great to have about 70 SCPCers come along to the first of these mid-term evenings designed to inspire and train us for our part in God’s work. For those who couldn’t make it, our focus last Tuesday was on sharing Jesus with our friends. We took a heart (motives), head (knowledge) and hands (resources & skills) approach to the topic and from the feedback I’ve had it seems that most people were encouraged to devote themselves more fully to sharing Jesus with their friends.
One of the things we did on the night was to quickly rehearse a simple gospel summary: “2 Ways to Live” that many would be familiar with. We did this because of the importance of being clear about the basics our friends need to understand and believe in order to truly say Yes to Jesus. We can’t share what we don’t know!
As a bit of follow-up from the Equip night I thought it’d be interesting to compare 2WTL with two other similar gospel outlines – The Story & The World We All Want – and reflect on what’s different and what’s the same between them. It’d also be good to hear which you prefer and why and who you think each one might be better suited to.
Anyway, I’d encourage you to check them out via the links provided above and then add your voice to the conversation by submitting a comment once you’re done.
Found equip helpful, looking forward to the next one, and loved the video resources!
