Here is a short update about the Lismore Showgrounds. Late yesterday afternoon, 26th November, we were informed by the Lismore Show Society that our usual access gate on Sundays would be unavailable due to NSW health utilising the access.
As you may have heard, 17 Motorhomes will be set up at the Lismore Showgrounds from Monday following a COVID case at the Byron Bay Aquarius backpackers. This accommodation will be created to assist close contacts to enable them to self-isolate effectively.
In consultation with Leadership Team and our health team at SCPC, we will meet for our 9:45am church family gathering tomorrow 28th November. Two of us visited the site today, currently contractors are on site establishing fencing and amenities.
Tomorrow, please use the access to the showgrounds beside the ticket booth on Alexandra Parade (see photo above). Our SCPC tear drop flags will be set up there.
If you do not feel comfortable to attend tomorrow, please remember SCG has a ZOOM webinar from 9am.
We will provide an update this coming week regarding the location of our Sunday gathering on Sunday 5th December.
What strange and complicated days we are experiencing as a community and church family. In our father God’s good plan who weaves our story, tomorrow we will be heading to Philippians 4 to discover the road to joy.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
